Veterans, ever gone to a VA Stand Down?

Veterans, hey anybody ever gone to a VA Stand Down?
I have never gone to the VA to sign up, but as I am getting old maybe it is ok.
Feel funny when I got out I was done with that, never what to be a Victim.
Always thought the VA was for the guys that got really hurt.

Stand Downs are one part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide services to homeless veterans. Stand Downs are typically one to three day events providing services to homeless Veterans such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, VA and Social Security benefits counseling, and referrals to a variety of other necessary services, such as housing, employment and substance abuse treatment. Stand Downs are collaborative events, coordinated between local VAs, other government agencies, and community agencies who serve the homeless.

No, but is sounds like a great idea.

Homeless veterans, almost always have bigger problems, just just having a home. Looks like you just have to show up at one.

The VA is supposed to be for Veterans, who need any help, not just medical. Looks like they are living up to that obligation.
