Smile I have a one week challenge

I know there are people here who can still find positive things to report on or post.

I know that General Chat can be as positive as it is not usually.

I challenge everyone of positive heart to make a post or a thread in the most sincerely positive manner from now thru next Friday night.

Can it be done?

I've started tonight with a positive thread of a couple of things I found uplifting.

Can you do the same? Can you post on another thread in only a positive manner?

This is a General Chat Positive version of Pollyanna's Glad game that changed a town and brought sunshine to the hearts of others.

Will you help me turn the sunshine on this forum? And it's okay to post in other forums in a positive manner, or reply in a most positive manner.

Thanks to those that accept the challenge and spread positive thoughts here and throughout HT.

I believe in each of you!

What a wonderful thread!
It is POSITIVELY uplifting!
We are having blueberry pancakes this am & the weather is beautiful. No more 100s just crisp fall days, my gingko tree is turning yellow & will be all bright yellow by the time my kids come for T'sgiving. And the red oak on the other side of the yard will be RED!

I'm happy to live in a country full of diversity... Where people don't have to fit into any role or stereotype someone else thinks they should be. Sure things aren't perfect yet and there are busy bodies trying to be in other peoples business, but things are pretty good here in the USA.

Nickie, I instantly thought of a particular time when I lived in CA when I read your post. Diversity. That what I Love about this country.

I was on the BART train (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and the car was filled with every culture. I saw all manner of dress and skin color/tone, and heard different languages. All I could do was smile. A variety of Americans!

Good morning -
It's nice to see some are starting to participate in my challenge.

Today the weather has warmed some and not suppose to rain. Good day for errands.

How's it going at your home, what positive or good news do you have to report on?

They are finishing up the harvest here and are getting better yields than was ever thought with the wet spring we had.
A week ago when they were picking corn in the field right across the road from our front yard a big, healthy gray wolf ran out. They are a rare sight here in southern Minnesota, but, a very beautiful animal.
I haven't heard of any animals missing in this area, so, that's a good thing.

My family has been doing something weird - eating less, eating healthy and exercising more.

The results have been a "miracle". , and everyone has improved, except for me who was "too busy" (I do work 65 hours a week).

I'm on board now and have lost 10 pounds in the last two weeks.

Also (if we are allowed two good things) I had a lot of polyps from from my colon, recently but none were cancerous.

Have a great day, everyone.

It sure will be nice to finally enjoy a good rain or storm.

Luv this incredibly cute video of a little girl walking on ice for the first time. Brought back memories that made my husband laugh out loud.

Thanks for the reminder that the cup is half full.

Getting ready for a family get together later today, a chili cook-off. Lawn chairs in the garage, a little fire in the fire pit, all different kinds of chili to sample and if you look hard enough you just might find a cold beer. Simple and extremely casual but these are the times we will remember fondly later.

Hi Folks,

What a delightful idea! I also am basking under cover of a new roof on my 83 year old house, and in warmer weather I can take advantage of a nice, new sitting porch, too! Putting my roof on when I did also saved a young man from having his home foreclosed, due to what I paid him---and I was rewarded with a *beautiful* job on the construction!

More? OK---my refi came through and my mortgage payment will be less than half of the old one!

More? Certainly! Right now my brother is in Utah, visiting with his brand-new Grandson. My little brother is a grampa! Beautiful baby, healthy, everything we could hope for!

And it doesn't get much better than that!!

Barb

It's a gray rainy day here so I've been baking. The house smells like molasses cookies, there are clean sheets on the beds. Everyone is home and warm and dry.

I'll join in. Nice peaceful day (for a change). Actually got the sewing machine out and did a little sewing. Made some baby booties and got in some knitting. Our own homegrown/processed chicken is on the barbecue, all the vehicles are running and the house is toasty warm.
