Over/underpayments on O-care subsidies
Since the subsidies are applied to current year premiums, it will be possible to be overpaid if your estimate of current year earnings are off. There are caps on the over payment liabilities, which is an invitation to fraud but it will probably be a problem for some especially the self-employed where the profit can vary quite a bit.
The bottom line is to be careful about the subsidy. If you are close to one of the earnings limits or you change jobs or you get a bonus, etc, you need to keep it in mind for tax time.
