So, Tell Me Where the Syrian Gas Came From

It's very hard to find any answers. And no one is yet addressing this on the news. I wonder why?

Is it because Obama would have to admit that Bush was right when he went looking for the chemical weapons that Saddam Hussein shipped to Syria?

Doubtful.

Is there any country over there, that doesn't have chemical weapons?

Syria is not a signatory of the Chemical Weapons Convention or the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. It is believed Syria first received chemical weapons in 1973 from Egypt in the form of artillery shells.[citation needed] Since then it is thought Syria has one of the most advanced chemical weapons programs in the Middle East[citation ne

Syria has one of the biggest caches of chemical weapons in the world and they have had it for over 30 years. Syria’s chemical weapons were developed to counter Israel’s nuclear arsenal. They have the ability to make their own sarin gas and have been buying ingredients to make the other kinds including mustard gas despite the banning of the ingredients. Why do you think Russia is allowed a naval base in Syria?

My feelings are that some of the rebels found one of the governments stashes or obtained them fron Iran and used them to draw us into the war.

I'm at a loss as to why the papers don't tell us: its all Bush's fault for invading Iraq...if they had not had advance warning we'd never have seen those convoys of trucks carrying the gas to Syria.

If there were trucks going to Syria from Iraq while Saddamm was in power they were not carrying chemical weapons. Saddamm and Assad hated each other - in fact it was a generational hatred that passed from Assad senior to Assad junior. Hardly likely that Saddamm would give these kinds of weapons to Syria which supported Iran in the Iraq-Iran war.

Maybe they hated each other but.......if you are the enemy of my enemies, we have a common goal, and I would be more inclined to act a lot nicer to you. Ever heard of the saying? "The enemy of my enemy, is my friend".

Well if he disliked them so much ,he may been smart enough to figure they would get them bombed as much as he was getting bombed .

It came from Syria. They make their gases themselves, don't have to get it from anyone else. It's not hard to make deadly gases. A child could do it.

You may want to look a little further back and see who supplied Saddam Hussein with chemical weapons.

Did we supply him in the 80's? It's what I read, but did not look into it.
