So sickening. Nothing will bring Shorty back but I hope the murderers are caught and get what they deserve. What is making people so mean???
They did not use guns either.

It is really bad they got away and the only witness is dead. They might get by with it and that is very disturbing. Anyone who can beat an 89 year old man to death is just sub human.

I saw somewhere (maybe Drudge?) that they do have pictures out of the suspects, so I expect they will be caught soon.

Nah, they are cowards. They know how to play the system though because they have likely had several brushes with the law. They know their mamas will be on tv saying they are good boys and are innocent. They also know the system will cut them a break because they are black and they are teens. They will not be charged with a hate crime and since they didn't use a gun, they will be out of prison in 2 or 3 years ready to kill again.

This is epidemic. Bill O'Rielly addressed it not too long ago & of course was lambasted for his "racism". SOmething has to be done. If whites rise up to try to do something, y'all know what will happen.
Fat chance we have of the gov't doing anything...ya think this idiotincharge would say anything about having a son who looked like any of these who are shooting babies b/w the eyes? Shooting innocent guys in the back? Beating 89 y/o?
There needs to be an all out 'war' on young thugs, no matter what the color. I suspect the majority will be black or brown but if this continues much longer it will be copied by every color of wanna be gansta.

Police seek teens in death of World War II veteran
Delbert Belton, 88, was a well-loved member of the community
An 88-year-old man who survived the Battle of Okinawa in World War II died Thursday after police say two teenagers beat him and left him for dead in his parked car.
Delbert Belton, nicknamed “Shorty” by his friends for his 5-foot-tall stature, was waiting for a friend Wednesday night at the Eagles Lodge on 6410 N. Lidgerwood St. Two men approached him in his car at random and beat him, police said. He was found with serious head injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
“I was going to surprise him last night and show up there, then I got the phone call telling me he was dead at Sacred Heart,” said Ted Denison, a friend of Belton.
Police launched a search Thursday for two black males 16 to 19 years old, releasing surveillance images of the suspects. Both are of average height and build and were dressed all in black at the time of the incident. One was wearing a do-rag. As of late Thursday, neither had been arrested.
The community was outraged by the beating, lighting up social media and news websites with angry and mournful comments for the man who friends say touched so many lives.
Belton was born and raised in Spokane before he joined the Army and was shipped to the Pacific Theater during World War II. Belton fought in the Battle of Okinawa, where he was shot in the leg, friends said.“He put his life on the line for our country to come home and 60 years later? Get beat to death?” Denison said. “That’s not right.”

WW2 Veteran beaten to death
A teenager has been arrested after a World War Two veteran nicknamed 'Shorty' who served in the Battle of Okinawa was brutally beaten by two men and left to die outside his regular bar in Spokane, Washington, on Wednesday.
Delbert Belton, 88, who was shot in the leg during the pivotal battle of the Pacific campaign, passed away from serious head injuries on Thursday at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the city.
