SWAT team starts house on fire, kills wrong man.

"An innocent man was was killed in his own home by a fire caused by an aggressive SWAT team, and while never publicly admitting guilt, the sheriff’s department has finally made a monetary settlement with the family of the deceased. Two years later, justice has never been reached for the killers of Roger Serrato, who received no punishment for their role in the negligent homicide of an man unrelated to the crime they were investigating, and were in fact verbally commended by county officials."

Thugs with badges.

I know a retired (disability) Los Angeles sheriff's deputy who told me the first time a suspect ran from him, and he was able to capture him, his sergeant punched him (the deputy) in the face. It seems it was standard, and required practice that if a suspect makes you run, you are to beat the crud out of him when you catch him.

But that was over 20 years ago, I'm sure things have improved since.

This is simply pitiful. Criminals who get away with murder and the taxpayer foots the bill not only for their mistake but also keeps them on the payroll in a position in which they have been incompetent.

How many people have to die because of police incompetence? What can the rest of us do to make sure this doesn't happen to our friends, family, selves?????

Here's what they did to this guy in Phoenix, this was just the other day.
He might have been on something, he might have a mental condition.
In Phoenix its likely a death sentence at the hands of LEO.
This isnt the 1st, nor I doubt the last case of someone with a mental condition dying at the hands of LEO.

Eta:as of now, no action has been taken against the officers. They are still at work on the streets pending the outcome of the investigation.
