Dogs are much easier to get along with and enjoy. But humans are much more valuable. So...... Yes, I like spending time with the dogs more than the humans, but I realize that dogs do not have the same value as humans.

That's pretty much the way I see it, too. I really enjoy the company of some of my old friends. I share some really good times and really good memories with them. I can discuss things and communicate with my friends in ways that I could never converse or communicate, with my dogs. I can count on the support of my friends in ways that my dogs can not . We have two Dobermans, very intelligent dogs.

On the other hand, I can Always count on my Dogs to be Loyal, friendly and forgiving. My dogs depend on me to feed them, water them and share my time with them. They hate it when I'm not at home and get separation anxiety. Believe it or not, they attempt to comfort me when, I'm a little blue, or distressed.
It is simply two different kinds of Relationship. Both are very Important to me, my Friends and my Canine Companions.

I picked human beings, though my best conversations always are with dogs.

Humans, while I have had some great dogs I've also had some chicken killers and disobedient ones and had animals attacked by dogs and my wife has been bitten several times.

Dogs. They are incapable of blatant deceit and lying, although they can learn to circumvent the rules to their advantage. Ultimately though, a dog is what he is inside and out, no false layers. No gossip, no backstabbing.

And they can never run for office, so they will remain superior to humans.

Dogs. Though I do enjoy talking to young humans almost as much as I enjoy talking to my dog!

I suspect about 25% of those answering the poll are cat lovers.

Dogs by far, dogs don't judge you.
But then again, pigeons don't either.

Excluding my wife, dogs. When treated reasonably well, dogs will give you their undying loyalty and love, no so with people.

Another advantage - if they bite your back, you can shoot them.

Never had a dog help me pull a truck out of the mud, bring meals to the house when there's sickness, help me reroof the house, etc etc.

Also say what you want but all and all its a lot more fun sharing a bed with human than a dog.

Dogs.

If they turn bad, you can still sell them. Folks tend to frown on you doing that with peoples.

We have 5 dogs in our bed every night and one lesbian cat. They are terrible about hogging the pillows though.
