Interseting response!

Ok, for some reason, i started getting stuff on my facebook wall from lacityworkers.com. It's a facebook page for L.A. City employees to exchange information and what not. They were "liked" by me, even tho i never "liked" them. As soon as i found out, i unliked them and pasted this on my wall:

"WOW! There has been a horrible mistake. Somehow I liked LA CITY WORKERS.COM. I want to apologize for that truly gravis error. I’m at a quandary as to how it happened in the first place as I would never like that site. My sincere apologies for my negligence in monitoring my likes."

This is their response:

"Jeff you are a complete and utter moron, you need a facebook 101 for beginners you need to spend more time Reading how facebook works then spouting off your hateful speech is unacceptable and a violation of facebook t.o.s.
Please take your ignorance elsewhere

BTW you fully don't understand ---- you stupid moron.
have a nice day."

Wouldn't their response be in violation of fb tos? Don't see how mine would! Anyway, this is my city at work and their attitude towards us!

The are an seiu site too! Seems the responder went to public schools and graduated with highest honors in english!

Was my post so offensive, they needed to respond that way? I am banned from that site too! I found out when i sent a post asking them if they get paid to responed to folks that way! So much for my 1st amendment rights when it come to the tollerant and compassionate left!(they are all liberals)

I periodically get businesses and organizations added to my list of FB friends. I still don't know how they do it- they are businesses and services that I have no interest in whatsoever. How did I 'like' a restaurant in Montreal?!

I'd like to get off of FB, but we have a lot of family on there that otherwise don't correspond with us.

Facebookers are like people - some of them are just jerks.

One more reason I'm glad I don't use facebook...

You mean not 'liking' someone is now considered hate speech? Geez, those people sure have thin skin.

The "how" you liked something is easy..

What happened is you probably liked a picture that was posted by them..

For example I'm a motorcycle rider and liked a picture of a custom bike. Well as it turns out Allstate insurance is the one who posted the pic and now I all of a sudden "like" Allstate..

It deception and false advertising at it's finest.. As to the LA City workers.. They must have to also use those same tactics to get people to "like" their page.. I would just tell them where to go, what train to take and where to get off at.. I would also block their worthless page.. If their poor little feelings are hurt because you don't like their page, then they have "hate" issues... Nothing but Socialist Union employees

I convinced a few cool crowd teens a couple weeks ago to ditch facebook and twit when I pointed out that although they considered themselves the local cool crowd all they were doing by posting on the network sites was to make very rich nerds with hot trophy wives and they always said nerds couldn't snag a date in a woman's prison with a fist full of signed pardons.

I then pointed out that they considered themselves cool but made no money off the sites or gained anything really valuable from it but anything they post and would rather forget will come back to bite them in the future if it can costing them a great future , job, etc.

Two weeks later one of the cool teens told me she has found other ways to fill her FB and twit time.

That is precisely how I wound up liking the Vixens for Veterans FB page, & one day I will unlike them.

Exactly like this!

I have been receiving some of the poorest customer service on the planet from Time Warner Cable. Incorrect pricing on my bills, refusal to replace bad remote controls, insistence that they wouldn't give me a discount for a full week of crappy reception and outages, etc... Imagine my surprise when I realized that I "LIKED" Time Warner Cable!

It turned out that I had clicked like on a photo from the tv series, The Walking Dead. I like the channel that brings me the show, not the cable network that fizzles out in the middle of an episode.

You poked the animal, with a stick, it snarled at you and then you act surprised.

You could have just unliked them and been done with it. You got the results you were looking for, IMO.

I didn't "poke" them. I posted my appology to MY wall, to my friends. It appears they were monitoring my page! That's creepy!

And just because their name was LACityWorkers.com, doesn't mean it was actually the City of LA that sponsored it. Could have been some snot-nosed 19 year old with poor social skills that made that page all on his own. The .com is not necessary for a FB page.

It really is a site by the seiu. They discuss how their getting shafted by the city and county, and try to tell each other how wonderful our city is for having them as employee's, and how to protest and threaten our elected public servants for more benifits. Go there and see for your self! No, the have a seperate fb page, but it's under LACITYWORKERS.COM.

It's horrible, hot women in skimpy clothes& occasionally sending care packages to the troops. I'm so offended by how I unintentionally liked the page that one day I will unlike it.

I feel your pain!
I will have to check the site out and see what I can do to help stop the "pain"

Although with the "Freedom of Speech" thing there might not be anything I can do, but suffer with you!
