I can't believe more folks haven't chimed in on this. It is very insightful and fortelling. An excerpt:

The two greatest visions of a future dystopia were George Orwell’s “1984” and Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World.” The debate, between those who watched our descent towards corporate totalitarianism, was who was right. Would we be, as Orwell wrote, dominated by a repressive surveillance and security state that used crude and violent forms of control? Or would we be, as Huxley envisioned, entranced by entertainment and spectacle, captivated by technology and seduced by profligate consumption to embrace our own oppression? It turns out Orwell and Huxley were both right. Huxley saw the first stage of our enslavement. Orwell saw the second.

Duh! Anyone who has been watching where America is going, through the lense of the Constitution, can tell you this is where we have been headed. The real question is what can be done to stop it. The answer, work at the local and state level to move your state out of the system. The framers knew the rights of the individual were paramount and that a group of like-minded individuals (States) could keep the national government in check. We need to work towards each state becoming more self-sufficient and to stop sending money into federal coffers, thus starving the beast.

Am I the only one who sees the irony of references to Orwell's conceptualizations being discussed on the internet where most all of the destinations load BB err I mean FB cookies?

All the pieces are in place, all we're waiting for is the spark. Could it be something as easy as someone hacking the EBT/SNAP computers, effectively shutting millions off from their only means of sustenance? Would China do it? Or maybe a false flag? In either case it wouldn't be that hard to do.
