That's only for violent crime, not general crime stats. The stats shown in the Daily Mail look to be approximately right but not accurate as the numbers across the board are actually higher than what was posted in the Daily Mail, according to CIA and FBI world statistics. I don't think I've ever seen any Canadians giving you advice about your crime rates. Why would they care to give advice about crime? Canadian violent crimes are nearly twice as high per 100,000 compared to in USA. If you think that's bad you should see what the stats are for property crimes and other crimes, they are more than twice as high as the violent crime rates. Canadians are more violent than Americans - the further north you go the higher the violent crime rates - but American stats for mental illness go off the charts by comparison with Canada.
Go figure.
