I wonder about people

I go on FB as I own a business and pretty much now days use it for business and getting ahold of people when need be. But today I changed my FB status to something like Prices of foods are going up, better stock up.

And what happens, people are like when, really, I didnt know that. How come?

I find people dont watch the news, read the weather, and put 2 and 2 together, let alone read something other than crap. I read this board and few others and believe me, I have learned alot of interesting things from the many people on here.

I've gotten help with chickens from reading, found info on storing things, I dont post much, I try but most times I just lurk... But man oh man are people living in a dream world....

Just my rant for today

Quite a few people, especially younger people, are spending more time on their phone talking ot texting. They don't have time for or any interest in the news.
The reason you got their attention was because of facebook. Many get all of their info on such places from each other. Since the majority do not keep up with reality they know little about real life.

Some folks world is a closed group of a very few . Some never think about price or where their next meal is coming from .They have no idea where food comes from they just know the store has it and always does . And should the shelf be empty the Gov will fix it . They never think about a time lag of 30 days effecting them

Here is explained right well Urban Dictionary: ostrich syndrome

I don't have a face book or even text service. The reason is that you need to look at a person to tell if they are telling the truth or lying. Of course if you trust the internet to always tell the truth and don't want to meet other person then go ahead but you will come in second or third best every time.

When more people can name whoever won the last American Idol, than the vice-president of the US, you know we're in trouble.

Sawmill Jim is right, lots of people just don't want to know. Oh well, that's why they make No Tresspassing signs and shotguns.

We were talking at work today about landlines. One guy said he keeps his just in case of an emergency if the cell towers go out -- I was wondering if maybe he was a closet prepper until his very next line; 'Just in case I need to call for help'
I then made a comment 'well maybe you should be prepared in case of an emergency so you don't need to call for help.'
"Why?" he says, 'That's what 911 is there for."

I mumbled a 'yeah' and turned around and went back to work.

I unfriende someone the other day. I had posted an article about a reason for prepping, and she tottally blasted me. Told me to worry about stuff is rediculous that "god" (and she knows I am athiest) would take care of everything. I told her to knock it off, she kept going. Sad I had no hope in the world since I was childless. So I didn't need that kind of stuff on my wall, kicked her out so to speak.

If I had no hope the world would go on, I would not prep. LOL
