DD, DS, DH .....? what do the leading D's stand for?

Could someone tell me what the abbreviations are?

Endearing terms are Dear Daughter, Dear Son, Dear Husband.

But if the person is mad at them . . . . . . . . well, it's another 4 letter word in front, but it isn't Dear. I'm sure you can figure it out!

While were at it, what is some other abbreviations and their meaning? Sometimes I'll see something somewhere and I really have to think hard on what those letters mean.

LOL - laugh out loud. I'm on a sewing board also. Whenever anyone would post about the death of a relative, one woman would post her sympathy and then said LOL. She explained much later that she THOUGHT it stood for Lots of Love!

The D can also refer to their perceived intelligence of the person too
