If Jesus himself was on the Republican ticket, I could not vote for him.

Coal Activist Questioned About Child Porn After Showing Innocuous Bathtime Photo at Hearing

Coal Activist Questioned About Child Porn After Showing Innocuous Bathtime Photo at Hearing
Jessica Benjestorf
By most accounts, Maria Gunnoe is a pretty swell lady. She's a coal activist who's won prizes for her efforts to stop mountaintop removal coal mining, and just last week she went to Washington, D.C. to talk to the House Committee on Natural Resources. Gunnoe was in our nation's capital to plead her case on behalf of her West Virginia neighbors suffering through coal-related water pollution.

And, if you were going to listen to the Republican Party tell it, she also likes to dabble in child pornography. Part of Gunnoe's testimony included a professional photographer's shot of a child in rusty, contaminated bathwater to illustrate, you know, her point about water pollution (she'd gotten consent to use the photo from the child's parents).

The panel decided the risqué photo should not be used in her testimony, and so Gunnoe proceeded with all the other ----ing photos she'd brought. On her way out she was intercepted by Capitol Police after "Republican members of the panel had suggested that she be questioned about child pornography." Low blow. You can see the photo, in all it's perversity here. ( Katie Falkenberg ) (At your own risk, nsfw, omg, rofl. Not really.)

Edited to add:

I liked the porn with the little dog our Sara looks a lot like that. Shame on her. What a bunch of morons. These people who want to shut down coal are going to be the first ones to scream when the scandal of the Marcellus shale gas surfaces. It is going to be lights out.

What a bunch of idiots. Our congressman recently held a town meeting where it was obvious he was busting his --- to preserve coal jobs. I don't remember how many times he mentioned the 20,000 jobs that are at risk. But that's the gist of what he talked about for about 20 minutes. Unfortunately he was talking about the wrong subject in a county without coal jobs.

He never mentioned the 30,000 jobs in WV oil and gas operations. In a state with a population under two miilion, those are big numbers.

I can't imagine Jesus running on either the GOP or democratic ticket for an office. I picture Him more as an independent or a libertarian.

Nope. I assure you that He can speak any language and He only wants your heart, not your head.

Morons. If you laid all the politicians end to end around the equator, it would be a good idea just to leave them there.

I might have 'liked' this post a little to soon. If this were to happen and they were "end to end around the equator", it could be devastating to the earth's rotation. They are so full of themselves and probably something else too, if one passed gas, it could reach epidemic proportions in just a few seconds. That really could speed up the earth's rotation or either slow it down. No telling what might happen.
