I like coal. I flip a switch and my lights come on. My beer stays cold. Power tools run.
Go coal. Go miners.

Oh yes vilifies the coal mines so that when they are shut down you won't complained. this is they way you shut down a company like Obama is doing and have no complaints. Then you wonder why the electricity and every thing goes up. It is the electricity companies to blame not the coal companies.

They haven't put but a one or two in jail so far, but maybe they will eventually get around to Don Blankenship.

Peabody Coal (BTU) is a decent American commodity investment. They meet domestic orders with higher grade coal and export the lower grade product to countries with less stringent pollution regs.

I am sure that is a opinion that you have. I wonder what caused you to have that opinion? Many of the regulations that they are fined for are arbitrary are you including those on appeal or not? If they owe the fines and have appeal them and lost then they should be shut down but if they are appeal and have not been settled than I say what is the difference than you getting a speeding ticket and not paying it immediately?

Prices for electricity have gone UP faster then a person can turn off enough lights and stuff to Save. I look at what I used last year and compare it to what I am using this year. This year is LESS then I used last year but the bill is higher~.
And all because of who is POTUS.~! He unfortunately has kept THAT promise, much to the dismay of 65% of this country~!

And yet everytime there is a coal mine disaster or open pit accident or refinery explosion the record shows that the mine has had multiple safety infractions that they have done nothing about and that corrupt governments and CEOs have in fact done everything to ignore or escape retribution. Can anyone say Upper Big Branch or BP? The life of a miner/oil rigger is worth nothing to the company. Both my husband and I are/have working in the mining industry so we have nothing against mining - if it can't be grown it must be mined - just a lot against the negligence and greed. Our miners have a motto - turn off a light save a miner.

Well, Obama said he'd bankrupt the coal industry, and he'll blame the coal companies for your electric bill.
People will be dumb enough to believe him too.
