Corporation. Noun, An ingenious device for obtaining profit without individual responsibility. ~Ambrose Bierce

Heard that the other day and thought it was funny.

hmmm every want to take a count that how many on here have their farm under a LLC???
I bet a whole lot of them are not only under that but also have a Inc. right alone with it.
Don't knock being incorporated at all. It protects all, the small business person as well as the large ones.

I don't do youtube, but to me, a corp. is someone (or group) with the guts to put their money where their mouth is while covering their butts in this civilation. Take the risk and either reap rewards or lose. Most the time, creating a job or 100 in the process.
BTDT. 3X. Not again in the near future as things are, however.

Having retired from Unocal, I found the part from 2:05:20 to 2:07:20 in the film interesting. That flap was in the mid-1990s, then there was a similar flap in 2000-2001. Unocal only lasted until 2005. They sold-off most of their assets in the USA, then what was left was acquired by Chevron. I'm technically a Chevron retiree today.

Last I heard the Union Oil Center office complex in downtown Los Angeles where I did a lot of work is now owned by a movie studio. My office was actually in Brea, California, but that facility has been leveled and is awaiting development into residential property and shopping.

How the mighty have fallen. But I have no doubt that Unocal honchos walked away with millions, so they had a soft landing after they fell.
sevenmmm likes this.
