I don't know her personal life, but as a mother who has buried children, I can't even imagine doing this. However, as JTM stated, they are already exploiting the situation. She may have had an attorney tell her that it would be best if she did this instead of someone like Sharpton or his ilk. Does she have other children? The reason I ask if it is marketed and she doesn't get it trademarked, someone else could be getting money that could help her raise her kids.

Time will tell whether this was done to prevent her son's memory from being exploited
by the unscrupulous, or whether her attorney eventually advises her to 'strike while the iron is still hot'......

As the most visible black leader he could put a MAJOR damper on all of this in a couple of days, if not with one news conference. If he came out and told the black community the facts as they are known; the guy was NOT shot in the back, the shooter was NOT white, the police DID investigate the shooting, etc. and they should let the local investigators do their job under the watchful eye of state and federal agents this would die down.

BO was responding with what he knew at the time, which was only what the biased MSM put out there...the out dated pics of a cherubic face, a boy carrying iced tea and skittles, a boy with no history of bad behavior, etc, who was shot by an overzealous white man with a history of violence. What did you expect him to say?

Yes, he was wrong to speak without all the facts -- the facts are still not fully out there about this tragedy -- but the MSM deliberately lied or deliberately failed to fully investigate this story. They wanted another Emmett Till. Even evoked Till's name in headlines.

Obama does not want it to die down. He wants whites to pay. Why would Obama appoint a racist like eric holder to the atty general job? Why does Obama have ignorant comments on perceived black victim crimes, and NEVER mentions a white victim crime.....perceived or otherwise.

The black panthers now have a dead or alive bounty out on Zimmerman. Has anyone heard Obama comment on this atrocity? Of course not.

I'd expect him to say something like "In the United States our legal system says a person is innocence until proven guilty and I would like to let our system work before I make a statement." Or "As of now I do not know all the facts and only a fool makes a statement before he knows all the facts."
