What they did should get a number of people fired for lack of common sense.

Wonder if the elected officials will get re-elected.

If the majority of voters are tired of looking at tattered Tyvec, they will.
It wouldn't happen in my community, but I can see it happening in many areas.

I've seen Home Owners Assoc that pick what color your house can be, require swing sets be brought in when not in use, require pickup trucks be garaged over night.

Before we get all excited about this code violation, lets remember that a home is often a person's largest asset. Having a dumpy neighbor's house reduces the value of all the other homes in that neighborhood. If I'm faced with not being able to sell my house and move because a neighbor is violating the law, I'm going to require that the law be upheld.

Those that don't like zoning requirements or Homeowners agreements, just keep driving until you see a shack with a washing machine in the yard. You may be safe there.

I'll have you know there are no washing machines in my yard. A fridge on the porch maybe, but no washing machines.

Umm...how 'bout a dishwasher and a fridge on the porch? We do live out in the sticks...so far no problem.

It would be good if this man can keep appealing this to higher courts over and over. There also needs to be a media blitz of some kind to call the judge who handed down this sentence to task and the prosecutor. Wasting resources, power, and tax payer money on silly things like this should bring these people to accountability. It makes the whole place look foolish.

Now soemone tell me "we do not have too much intervention in our lives"
The city leaders who initiated this should be charged with abuse of power or what ever, publicly arrested and tossed in jail with no bond. What a bunch of dickwads.

Given the choice between a neighbor who lives in a shack with a washing machine in the yard and living around a bunch of busybodies who NEED to try to control everybody around them, I'd say, "Howdy, neighbors. That's some nice washing machines you got in your yard."
