I voted for treapassing and I will respond accordingly.
If Butch tries coming in my door I will have to call the ambulance because he will be dead meat.

I was looking for an option to bust out the hair gel and blow dryer, then I realized you were talking about Butch, not Dog.

Some bounty hunter came looking for someone. But, he cased the place first, then went next door and used the phone to call police for back up. The house next door was grandma's house. My grandma's house. She let him use the phone, then called me. Heh.
There was a cop at the back door and one with the bounty hunter at the front door. They stayed back and quiet. There was nothing they could do,,,,,,,,,no warrent.
Mr bounty hunter wanted to come in. I said no. He was mad.
I would have chosen shoot him if he breaks down the door and comes in. I couldn't choose shoot him if he tries to break down door.
I chose trespassing. It leaves all options open.

Depends....
What's the warrant for??? Misdemeanor or felony???
Hate to kill a guy over a misdemeanor, if he decides to kick in the wrong door, but if he wants to die for it......oh well.
My advice to him would be to call the cops and let them work it out.....
OUTSIDE.......not going to open my door to either of them.
If it's a felony warrant and I know it's NOT me, I'm going to be
calling dispatch and will be trying to convince them they have the wrong guy.
I also know that no cop is going to kick in my door for a misdemeanor.

I would let him arrest me and then sue him for over 2 million dollars. They must have a one million dollars bond to be a bounty hunter in my state and put him out of business because of the other million dollars until he pays up and clear his name.

.....................Personally , I'd treat a BH just like some stranger who showed up and was trespassing on my property ! My response is predicated upon the idea that Butch is trying too execute a warrant upon an innocent person , his mistake ! It is up to him to do his "due diligence" and make sure he is at the right address , therefore I'll treat him like any common thief trying too illegally enter my home ! I'm not quite clear on how much authority a state allocates to him to enter a person's home vs the power vested in any police officer executing the same warrant . , fordy

Usually that are not invested with anything. They have a badge but anybody can buy one and they are licensed to carry a firearm but other wise they are like you and me. I used to work for a bounty hunter on occasion but it did not pay off. he wanted to arrest a person that was the wrong one until I quit on the spot.

Well, if he made it all the way to my door, I've screwed up on multiple levels... First, my cousins guard dogs should've alerted at least five minutes before he got here... then my dogs should've alerted, barking their fool heads off when he drove up... my guard dogs should've chewed on his neckbone... the other dozen dogs outside should've ran him ragged...
and, I should've met him a hundred yards from the house, at one of my 'speed bumps' (eye teeth get knocked out, unless you ease into the hole) with an AK, an AR, a shotgun, and/or 44 magnum...
but, make it to my door? bwahahahahahahhhaa... if he looked like the squirrely fella "Dog the Bounty Hunter", I'd probably have to have the drop on him, and ask him very politely wt"f" he was and what he wanted... and if he got dangerousome, well, I did have the drop...
If I did have warrants, I'd not sleep good at night, in my own bed...

Good grief, if I ever decide to come visiting, I'll call you 6 months ahead of time just to be on the safe side...
