Iran has nuclear fuel rods??

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...659822568.html

TEHRAN, Iran—Iranian scientists have produced the nation's first nuclear fuel rod, a feat of engineering the West has doubted Tehran capable of, the country's nuclear agency said Sunday.

The announcement marks another step in Tehran's efforts to achieve proficiency in the entire nuclear fuel cycle—from exploring uranium ore to producing nuclear fuel--despite U.N. sanctions and measures by the U.S. and others to get it to halt aspects of its atomic work that could provide a possible pathway to weapons production.

Might see some fireworks over there shortly, and not belated New Years celebrations.

But, they're no threat!!! We just have to sit down and talk to them. Isn't that what Obama said?

It's no big deal. They are just trying to protect themselves and have the right to protect themselves from US aggressions.

They're going to protect themselves with fuel rods?

The apparent outrage over this development tells an interesting story. There's obviously more to our concern than a nuclear weapon threat. The powers-that-be seem furious that Iran is gaining the economic advantage of nuclear power.

The may have gotten plans, to develop nuclear fuel rods, off of the Internet.

Yes, immediately if not sooner.
We have all of those men leaving Iraq with no place to go.
Might as well send them to Iran.
They have to go someplace.

Is this news now?

Iran has had a fuel rod for several months.

Iran has had the capacity to make a fuel rod for some time now.

Fuel rods are very far from weapons grade material.

Please, stop with the fear mongering.

I posted this in another thread for the OP. Obviously, while she claims to want to learn the truth, she did not read it when presented. Then wonders why people are "rude". Here it is again. Note the date of the report and within it, if someone bothers to read it, is the date it was know Iran had made a fuel rod.

Please, inform yourself so as not to be fearfull any more.

OMG! Iran can HEAT WATER with uranium!

This RP supporter says, I have known about it for some time. Not new information.

I say if you're scared of Iran, go down to your local recruiter and see if you can go fight.

If you're too old to qualify for our military, you can organize a group of volunteers, do some training, and head over there.

Maybe you can take out North Korea while you are at it, another member of the Axis of Evil.

There are also conflicts in Africa that need attention.

Yes, with all the concern over threats and humanitarian issues, you'd think more people would be itching to go fight. Or maybe they aren't that scared after all.

Personally, I spend alot more time worrying about local gangs and thugs than the people 6,000 miles away. Heck, if the Israeli intelligence heads aren't worried about them, why are we?

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...n-nuke-threat/

If we would just leave Iran alone, it would minimize the threat. The only reason they make noise is they remember how we overthrew their government and installed the Shah who oppressed the people for decades with our help. Then we meddled some more by giving weapons to Saddam to use against them.

Why do we have to keep messing with people?

Sorry, but seems to me like some folks think it's news and a new development.

That's the problem with media. 2 months behind.

Still, I did post the link to the report. I can't make you read it.

Yes, you did post it and I did go to it. Unfortunately the print was too small for my tired old eyes to be able to read through 25 pages of it. So, you have posted your link to it and I have posted links to it. Guess everyone can go to the various links and make their own determination.

Why do you always insist on making this personal. I have never belittled you nor attacked you personally, or made a mockery of you.
