This poor woman got shafted big time, if it were me I would beat the hell out of whoever was responsible with a baseball bat then make a deal with the judge demanding time served to cover the beating.

It is very hard to convince cops they made a mistake! Friend of mine's son was arrested in Colorado and held for at least a week. The crime was committed in Florida by someone of the same name but a totally different physical description. There were witnesses that placed the son at an event (in Colorado) when the crime was being committed (in Florida). He still had to hire an attorney out of his pocket to fight for his release and fight extradition to Florida. He eventually got a settlement for the wrongful arrest.

And that is good. Whoever arrested her on the false charges should be terminated, and perhaps jailed for the same 53 days they put her through. And the city should pay big, really BIG. They need to learn to be sure before they take a person's freedom.

A guy near here was recently falsely arrested by federal marshals for rape. It seems that the guy he bought his identity from when he snuck across the border sold the same identity to another guy who actually committed the rape. They let him go with an apology.

I was setting a home.Get a Call from the Law asking if I was So and So? Yea.Whats your Birth Date? Told them.Your not the one we are looking for.

I could imagine if they had the right one and him setting around until they come to pick him up.
