Amanda Knox...Did She or Didn't She?

I found all the viewpoints on the MJ thread very interesting. So...

Did she? Didn't she?? Plow job by Italy to have a name to a murderer? Did she get away with murder by some botched DNA tests? Discuss.

I have no way to know if she did or didn't, as I wasn't on the jury. BUT. As it is apparently true that the police lab did a bad job collecting evidence--massive contamination of DNA and some 'evidence' totally fabricated-- that evidence could never be valid. It does indeed look like the Italian authorities were looking for the path of least resistance.

Just by what I heard about the guy who wrote a book about a serial killer in Italy and what the prosecutor did to him, I would say she got railroaded by some kind of megalomaniac. The guy has been found guilty of abuse of power. And she is a big fat American who would get him some media coverage and fame.

They still have the murderer in jail. She and her boyfriend have been found innocent. But it still seems that she was involved...somehow. She lied to authorities, and couldn't tell what happened that day. We may never know the complete truth. It still seems that the most guilty guy is still in jail.

With the little info I have, I don't think she
is guilty of murder. Certainly, prosecutors had
no case. Be glad you live in this country.

I hear that Nancy Grace is torqued off about the ruling. That is enough to make it a good thing no matter what happened..............

I think the book you're talking about is The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston. I read the book before she was charged with murder, and I have to agree with you. Doesn't seem like real evidence is as necessary in Italy, just a plausible? explanation presented by the prosecutor. Makes me glad for our system of justice, as imperfect as it may be.

Grace needs to focus on her dancing.

Knox is innocent.

Strong family it appears.

Could your family stay the course for 4 years in support of a family member like that?

Wonder how much $$$$ this whole ordeal cost the family?

From what I've seen, she is innocent. The evidence exonerates her. As far as her "admission", that came only after an interrogation of something in excess of 50 hours. There are reasons that such practices are illegal in America.

Only Knox and God knows. If she had kept her "nose clean" she wouldn't had been in this mess to begin with. What that said, I did many a stupid thing in my late teens and even my early twenties. The company you keep tells who you are.

With all the bull carp happening in this country and throughout the world - WHO REALLY CARES WHETHER SHE DID IT OR NOT????

More mental diversion for the unwashed masses - to keep you from seeing what the other hand is doing.
