Talking TV ads now can personally attract mans best friend to watch

Nestle ad first to pitch to canine customers
Quote:
ZURICH — Nestle, one of the world's biggest makers of pet food, said on Friday it had launched the first television commercial designed especially for dogs, using a high-frequency tone to grab their attention.

A all new concept to target a specific audience for them to reach. Neat.

They've had commercials and videos for cats for years and years.

Not sure what took them so long to target dogs.

Not sure if you read the article but during the ad a Audible Signal is sent that only Dogs can hear.
And hearing that sound the dog will come over to the TV and watch the ad I guess.
But it is the Signal being sent along with the ad that is the interesting part. One that only dogs can hear. So I don't think this has been tried before.

I left my TV on animal channel once and I won't do it again. Dog almost tore the TV off its stand trying to get to some critter.
Just what we don't need, high frequency to make our animals even weirder.
Don't these people have better things to do....

My cats and dogs watch commercials already. Each seems to have their favourite. It doesn't matter. They can watch and Nestle can waste their money. I'm still the only one who can buy the food. I decide.

I have a dog that barks at all dogs on tv. He even learns the music of commercials with dogs and will run into the room tp watch the tv when he hears it. As soon as he sees the dog, he barks than goes back to what he was doing.

Sold out? Nestle never was an American company. It was founded in Switzerland over 100 years ago.

I think they're referring to Nestle buying Purina.

Ohhhh.... maybe I misunderstood.

Nestle bought the Purina pet food division years ago; it's old news.

Nestle owns a lot of common brands: http://www.nestle.com/Brands/Pages/B...earchList.aspx

But what's the big deal? American companies own a lot of foreign brands.
