Can't Predict Hurricane Intensity, But...

Lets see, they can't predict the intensity of a Hurricane that is happening RIGHT NOW, but they can predict GLOBAL WARMING. Sure they can, easy as putting false data into an inadequate computer model.

It's all a guess and, as you say, the people inputting the computers determine the outcome. It's no different than Congress tasking the CBO with forecasting deficits or the costs of programs. They tell them which numbers they must use whether skewed or not to get the desired results. The sun determines our temps on earth and the other planets as well and the sun's effects are not constant.

Well, I read today on the Drudge site that Al Gore is calling those who don't believe the global warming lies 'racists'. I guess our new title will be 'global warming racists'. We're just so racist to not believe the lies that the scientists who cooked them up admit were lies. We're so incredibly racist to doubt those who have lied for their own financial gain.

Oh what the heck. People who don't believe it are called racists for calling people who do believe it cultists. Racists, cultists, what's the difference? You still have a bunch of totally degenerate idiots all calling each other stupid names.

As I have pointed out over and over its easy to prove their computer models are wrong. All you have to do is run them backwards and see if their "projections" line up with what actually happened.

You know, that does not make a lick of sense on any level. How can a weather forecast/prediction/model, etc be of any racist nature.
One of the dumbist things I think I've heard in a long time.

That's why the AGW people pick Al Gore to speak for their opponents. Of course, they don't return the favor and allow their opponents to pick THEIR spokesman.

Angie, it *doesn't have to make sense*. It sounds appropriately radical, sounds "sexy'" to the global warming fanatics who hang on every word that drools from Gore's bloated lips. It's got "good optics", it's an "overarching" issue. It's "embattled". Fill in the blank with the trendy buzz word de jour. Like much of the so-called 'evidence' put forth by scientists who opely admit they lied about the data--- *of course* it makes no sense.

It *doesn't have to make sense* in order to play to the people who lap that stuff up. It's a radicalized accusation to make against people, and perfectly in line with the growing 'racist' accusations we're seeing elsewhere in politics.

IMO, Al Gore is racist about intelligence. He's a filthy intelligence racist. That ought to be perfectly understandable to people like him.

Easiest way to shut up a man caused GW advocate is to get them talking about all the "computer models". Then ask them to show you any computer model which when the last 10 years of data is put in and run it backwards its 'projections' match the data we have on record.

Most of the modelers won't even try because they KNOW their numbers won't even be CLOSE to the real numbers.

I use this example all the time. If someone came up to you and said they had a computer model which could predict where the stock market would be in 20 years but refused to use real data to show it worked would you invest your money?

What the hell. All I can tell you is that the freaking sea level is rising and the dang glaciers are melting. The east coast is living proof of this. There is more flooding here in the last ten years and you can see the sea level coming up in the coastal plain. The worst flooding in 60 years with HUrricane Irene and it was ONLY A CATEGORY 1. Two hundred year floods in the last decade. WAKE the F UP. You want to believe BILLIONS of people burning fossil fuels into the atmosphere has zero effect? Good job leaving the planet a mess for your children (and mine). Good job.

Then you don't remember Hurricane Agnes! It surely did a number to the Mid Atlantic States and the New England States... Flooded everything in site and took out bridges.. Oh that's right it wasn't in the last 10 years so it doesn't count....If I remember correctly it was June of 1972.. But I might be off by a year.. All I do know is that I (with family) was on the Chesapeake Bay when it hit and had to leave and attempt to get home to PA because of the destruction..

I also find it funny that you want to blame everyone for the worlds problems.. So I take it you don't drive a car, or use plastics, or buy packaged food.. Dang, you are holier than thou.... Oh wait, you do all of the above and more, yet condemn the same thing... Well imagine the hypocrisy!

Oh and back then it was global cooling! So tell me how did that pan out? Oh wait it's the same fools claiming global warming now... I guess it just didn't pay anymore, so they had to change to a new "crisis" product... Talk about big business...

I thought Agnes, Isabella and Floyd had some pretty significant flooding as well. Problem is, we just don't get this weather often enough to truly be prepared for it. New York was in no way prepared for it. That was a combo of bad luck (trajectory) and bad timing (new moon, high tides already). Pretty sure my blast of Aqua Net didn't cause New York's woes. Just sayin'.

Well there are such things as weather patterns and cycles which would cause all of the above... part of the reason the dark ages were so "dark" was a mini ice age. The planet goes in cycles that are longer than most of our so called "data" collection of the last 100-150 years..

According to alot of GW's these are not cycles but man made and I just don't buy it. Yes, man is polluting the planet but to think that man is powerful enough to cause these GLOBAl changes.... not buying it here.

That says it very well. The modus operendi these days is to paint one's opposition in a negative light, the more polarizing and denigrating the language, the better.

AGAIN: You want to believe billions of people burning fossil fuels into the atmospehere has ZERO EFFECT? Good JOB.

Everyone has to do thier part. You want to call me holier-than-thou so you can get on with your status quo.

I do everything I can to eliminate waste, not use plastics, reduce use of fuel, etc. I am sure, being part of a homesteading board, that you can wrap your mind around this. I choose this life so I can take care of myself and family and extricate myself from the destructiveness of the SYSTEM.

There is a TREND and we can see the effects. You think they are making up the glaciers melting? where's that water going? In my backyard here on the coastal plain, and into the coastal towns -- 50 MILES INLAND -- everytime the wind blows.

We are sticking our heads in the sand. Seriously. Do we REALLY THINK that billions of people burning all these fossil fuels into our atmosphere is just having NO EFFECT at all? REALLY????

It's just that this has been going on for MILLIONS of years per the soil samples and carbon dating...last I checked, T-Rex wasn't real hip on burning fossil fuels, though ironically he DID become a fossil.

The point still stands. NONE of the projection models work in reverse, this means they are flawed and can not be trusted to predict ANY future actions.

So how many regulations have been adopted to clean the air on businesses?

Thousands if not more..

So the question is, When is enough, enough? Never according to you..

Pennsylvania was almost devoid of trees in the early 1900's, now there are thousands of acres of forest.. Yet according to you and your ilk, that isn't enough...

So how do you explain a lot of the same folks crying global cooling are now crying global warming? That's right you accuse those of us who deny man-made global warming of having our heads in the sand, yet it looks like we've already heard this same carp from the same folks, just a different verse..

If the ecoterrorists really wanted to persuade the rest of the world.. Try leading by example.. Oh that's right Gore and the others wouldn't be able to make millions from the gullible if you did that....

You see I do hate waste and I try to do what I can with what I have and re-use / re-purpose everything I can.. Yet the ones I see crying Global warming / Catastrophic Climate Change are also the same ones raking in millions, or trying to tax the people more or burning more fuel in a month then an average person does in a year.. etc.. You get the point...

Since when does taxing the people more fix global warming?

Oh that's right it doesn't, it just takes away from those paying taxes and gives it to those who don't...

Give me a physical break!
