Don't split atoms at home in your kitchen

What a goober. I like the way he says he created a small meltdown on his stove. Heck, my wife used to do that all the time when we were first married.

I read a story years ago in the Readers Digest about a 14 year old kid who made a functionable atomic reactor in a back garden shed. Boy genius type. Think he ended up with about a thousand scholarship offers.

He got his uranium by buying old clocks with luminous dials and scraping off the paint.
