I know that Limbaugh likes to make light of this sort of thing, and it's always good for a laugh, but as frivolous as it may seem it serves a purpose. This is the federal government's way of funding advanced education. This is simply a grant to help people get advanced degrees.

Advanced education is fine, but how about collecting baboon poop, from one of the hundreds of zoos and animal parks in the U.S.? They have their social hierarchies there also.

These types of projects are taxpayer funded boondoggles, for tenured "professors", more than anything else.

How embarrassing. Linking to Fox News. From the title of the paper and abstract one would come to the conclusion it is looking at penis size as a determinant of health. Pretty useful if one is looking at interventions to decrease disease. For some reason people like you eat up the sensationalism these news sites throw at you as if it were fact over fiction.

A Traditional Values Coalition release stated that at least $9.4 million went to a 10-year study that included the penis-size research -- but Parsons said it appears that references a much broader "post-doctoral training program" of which the penis-study funding was a "small" part.

The truth is Govt money WAS spent on the research, as evidenced by the fact it's actually posted on NIH's own website.

Exactly, it's very typical for someone like Rose to belittle any reference to "Foxnews" and then misunderstand everything that is in the article. LOL. Some people have just been potty trained to think that anything on Fox news must be wrong.

If it makes you feel better, Rose, I read the article from another source but linked the Fox article because it happened to come up first on the google search...I suppose if it had been MSNBC you would have treated it as gospel truth.
