was opening at a theater on the same day as a another movie I wanted to see, no matter how much I wanted to see it, I would skip it until another day, but I still found this an amusing read, mostly for the writer's style..
It started here last night at Midnight.
They were showing on 4 screens, 3-- 3D and 1-- 2D screens and they were Sold out so fast, they had another showing at 2:40 AM. ~
3 Couples had been at That Theater for 24 HOURS, just to get into the Midnight Showing~!
They sleep on in their cars in the parking lot the night before when the theater closed for that night.
Pre-sales for the tickets nationwide have been over 30 Million

The 12:45 am showing wasn't advertised. The company that is marketing the movie was never told there was to be a 12:45 am showing. This looks as if it was setup with the sole purpose of trying to create an embarrassing situation.
From the reports I have seen, at least 2 theaters have sold out their primetime showing through pre-orders. Later tonight I will most likely have a report of how many theaters sold out and a rough count of number of people attending the various showings. The reports from the morning showings were about 50 people per theater.
ETA: Atlanta 4 pm showing - standing ovation at end of movie. 7pm sold out.
Well it must have gotten the word out 24 hours at least, because of the ones that were there in my area 24 hours waiting for the Midnight showing. They were interviewed at the theater 5 hours before the midnight showing. So some theaters got the word I guess.

I assume you are talking about Harry Potter and Tiempo is taking a shot at The Undefeated.
Overwhelming support for The Undefeated. This is the film about the real Sarah Palin, not the Palin fabricated by the mainstream, leftist media.

Santa Monica, Calif. (July 17, 2011) - ARC Entertainment, the distributor of “The Undefeated,” the film about Gov. Sarah Palin’s rise from obscurity to national prominence, announced today that through Saturday night the film had a stronger opening than expected with the large markets trending towards weekend per screen averages above $10,000 driven by multiple sold-out runs. The film had accumulated approximately $5,000 per screen through Saturday night. Unique in the theatrical feature world, The Undefeated was rushed to select digital theatres in only 3 weeks, and was marketed almost entirely through social media and grass roots efforts, with virtually no traditional media spend. With the strong initial showing, the film is going to a wider release footprint later this month, with details being announced soon.
The film opened in 10 markets on Friday including Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Orlando, FL, Indianapolis, IN, Kansas City, MO, Oklahoma City, OK and Orange, CA.

“We have been told the theaters in Phoenix, Atlanta, Denver and Indianapolis moved the film to bigger screens to accommodate oversized crowds. Because of high-ticket sales, the Phoenix theater put ‘The Undefeated’ on two screens during one showing to accommodate demand,” stated Andy Badolato, VP Marketing and Business Development of Victory Film Group and Associate Producer of “The Undefeated.”
Quote:
“The combination of passionate audience response, sustained standing ovations and in-theater Twittering convinces us that this is a special film that will have incredible word-of-mouth,” said Glenn Bracken Evans, Victory Film Group co-founder. “The film’s website www.theundefeatedmovie.com has received hundreds of thousands of hits. I am truly amazed that in certain markets we will hit or exceed the $10,000 per screen mark given that we had absolutely no electronic media spend and only booked the theaters weeks ago. I’m particularly amazed we accomplished this in Phoenix and Orange County, two of the country’s most competitive markets during one of the toughest summer weekends and up against Harry Potter.”
I would like to see that movie, but it is only being shown in a few cities and just a handful of theaters around the country. That is why I did not comment on it, as very few people will be able to watch it, unfortunately. That is why I posted about HP, as that is the news as it got over 90 million the first day.
But as far as Sarah's film I am disappointed that it has limited screens it is being shown at. So only a few can see it, and comment on it.

Since they don't have a lot of dollars behind it, they have to 1st prove it is a money maker by showing it in 10 cities. If they hit a certain revenue, it will be released to many more theaters around the country.
