Well for the rest of the story, here is what happened six days ago. This took place just South of the Bay Area, and it was all over the local news last week.
It makes me wonder if I should go down to the Sheriff's Office and get my 'Explosives License' besides my CCW License, so I would not have to bother with locking the store doors and then taking a 'sawzall' to the locks on the gun cabinet and the trigger lock on the weapon..

Watsonville police swarmed a Big 5 Sporting Goods store Tuesday morning and shot to death a man who locked the store's doors, loaded a gun that was for sale and opened fire, police said.
On Tuesday morning, a man entered the store at 1083 South Green Valley Road and asked to buy a gun, Watsonville police Lt. Terry Traub said.

Assistant store manager Letitia Mello told the Santa Cruz Sentinel that the man acted suspicious as he filled out paperwork and answered questions about why he wanted to buy a rifle.
California gun laws require a background check and a 10-day waiting period before someone can receive a purchased firearm. The 22-year-old Watsonville man left looking agitated because he could not immediately buy the gun.
The man returned just after 11 a.m. carrying an electric saw and cable bike lock, Traub said.
He locked the store's doors with the cable bike lock, grabbed ammunition, plugged in his electric saw and began sawing a lock off of a shotgun that was for sale, Traub said. While he was sawing, horrified Big 5 Sporting Goods employees called 911.
After sawing off the double locks, Traub said, the man loaded the shotgun and opened fire.
Watsonville police swarmed the Big 5 Sporting Goods store almost instantly after the 911 call was placed, witnesses said.
"Before you knew it, there must have been 40 police officers with semiautomatic guns," witness Tony Roche said. "It was pretty intense."
Officers were able to enter by squeezing through a small opening between the store's doors because the bike lock did not hold the doors completely closed. Once police squeezed inside, they immediately opened fire and shot the man to death, police said.
Watsonville police did not release the gunman's identity or motive.
None of the store's terrified employees and customers were shot or injured, Traub said. At least nine shots were fired by the police and gunman combined.
Mello said during the shooting she hid behind fishing gear, heard police fire two shots and saw the man die on the floor, according to the Sentinel.
"The officers acted appropriately," Traub said. "Our officers are trained for dealing with active shooters."
Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies, California Highway Patrol officers, and Santa Cruz District Attorney officials were on the scene to investigate both the gunman and the Watsonville police officers to ensure the officers acted according to policy.
"Multiple agencies are here to ensure accountability," Traub said.
The Big 5 Sporting Goods store is located near the intersection of South Green Valley Road and Main Street, next to Green Valley Cinema and Erik's Deli.
Watsonville resident Sam Steverson was on his way to buy shoes at Big 5 when the shooting broke out. "Police came and took care of business, they shot him to death," Steverson said.
