What's Good For The Goose.....Military Unions

If the civilian workforce of Governments (State, local and Federal) are allowed to organize and Unionize then I think it is high time that Active, Retired, and Disabled Military Personnel should be allowed EQUAL REPRESENTATION.

Go for it, kind of goes against all of the training you had, doesn't it? You're not supposed to question authority. Next thing you know service members will be saying they did it for the money and benefits and not just for love of country.

No thanks. The military has enough people trying to do what's "best" for them. I don't want any union mobsters doing it too.

Nope, never had a need for a Union, but if that is what it will take to protect the guys in Uniform then maybe if its good for teachers, etc it should be good for the troops. Maybe they can take a Union Vote on whether they care to fight this or that enemy. Maybe decide not to fight at all until retirement benefits and Medical is better. If teachers don't have to teach, then Tankers shouldn't have to drive tanks.

That is not true. You only need to know that it is a lawful order and does not conflict with the rules. In the Military I question orders all the time and prevented a lot of captains and lieutenants and occasionally a major form getting into trouble.

Would you allow strikes and picketing in Afghanistan, right now?

Military is their own social system with seperate police, courts, lawyer and jails. It has to fly past all of that, not the general public. Plenty have put down their gun or walked away from service when they felt it wasn't right.
