Meanwhile elderly poor are going without heat

Cash, the last of the 29 Airlift Chihuahua dogs to be adopted, did not find happiness in Houston. The 2-year-old Chihuahua mix was euthanized at the Houston SPCA after being deemed too aggressive to place in a home.

It is a sad end for Cash, whose short, chaotic life had landed him in a Los Angeles animal shelter overrun with tiny dogs no longer wanted by irresponsible pet owners.

Perhaps the government should provide AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Chihuajuas) payments? But would that encourage irresponsible pet owners to have more chihuahuas?

Hope so - that would qualify me for beaucoup $$$. Problem is, of course, that then y'all would hiss and spit about me using my Doggie EBT to buy Taste of the Wild instead of Ol Roy at Wally World.

The sad thing is that those animals can be rehabilitated. Whenever I see "he was just too aggressive," I read "we didn't have the time, patience, or knowledge to rehabilitate."

I mean seriously, it took them a month to fly this dog from California to Texas and then decide that he was beyond saving...

Elderly poor going without heat.

And Wall Street just handed out $135,000,000,000 in bonuses for 2010.

Unemployment still crippling the economy.
