The end of America?

I have watched this Youtube video twice.
http://www.endofamerica15.com

I have looked on line to verify the statistics on this and from what I can find, this is all basically truthful albeit a little overly provocative. Please do not show this to your wife or kids. I am not promoting it. I just wanted to see if any of you have seen it and what your opinion is.
I believe we are in for trouble but not to this extent. Obviously the promoter wants us to subscribe to his "advanced" advice and pay for it but much of what he says makes sense and I have books written by the same group(Baltimore based) back in 1993 that were absolutely right on the money. Their predictions were eerily accurate. One was called "The Great Reckoning" and was written by Davidson (1993), the other was called, "The Plague of the Black Debt" and was written by him and Lord William Rees-Mogg in 1994. Perhaps the hyperinflation theorists and gold bugs are right. Who knows.
Anybody view the video in it's entirety?

He has been convicted. The question is not about his integrity. It is about his accuracy of the new information he provided. Whether he is a liar, a cheat or whatever others may call him... the video seems weirdly accurate.
Do you simply write him off because he has a bad record? That doesn't sound too good.
I bet lots of people on this forum have been in trouble before too. That doesn't mean I don't give consideration to what they say even if I disagree with it.
Did you actually watch the video?
No one has answered that question yet.

I just can't get over how self-serving that first website seems to be.

The biggest thing being marketed these days is fear and insecurity it seems to me. Best to leave that stuff on the barn floor where it belongs.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I want to know why wives shouldn't see it.

I have no idea. I watched it and it was information regarding the devaluing of the dollar and his suggestions about putting money where it won't have to be reported to the government.
I am concerned and agree with what he is saying, but I haven't requesed his handout (yet).

I just watched it up to where he starts his straight up pitch.

I guess I'd better go sit in a corner and cry hysterically, wishing some man would come save me. I never should've watch that!
Sheesh...

He's rumor mongering and promoting himself and his business with fear tactics. His legal record shows that he's not trustworthy.

Well one glaring inconsistency is where he says that the Dollar has been the reserve currency since WWII, but then paints a picture of hard times in Britain, supposedly when the Pound lost it's place as the world reserve...during the 70's? Bit of overlap there.

The 70's were a time of high inflation and hard times brought about by the oil crisis, amongst other things. His scary reference to mortgages at "8% or even 10-15%" cracked me up. I bought my first house with a 12% mortgage. I've had several at 8%. Big deal.

I do think there will be a major change in our economic power and yuan will become the new world standard, but no one is going to force that issue quickly. As has been demonstrated lately, the world is too closely tied for anyone to mess with things too much. The transition will be more gradual. It will still suck for us, not in a disastrous way.

I think his disclaimer is part of his game!

But most of his claims are on target. China has even recently voiced that the reserve currency should no longer be the dollar.

The Obama policies should bring hyper-inflation yet the country generally is in denial living like it will never occur....

I agree with Jena in that the world powers aim to do this slowly over time.

Obama wants to keep us believing it will take time to fix the mess he inherited .... so we wait while in reality he is achieving his own agenda for us.

But it could all go wrong and we experience the worst case scenarios.... consider what a terrorist attack dwarfing 911 would do to this country in the shape it is in now!!!!!!!!

All good things must come to an end, America is no different.

The only question is when and how.

I don't think it is now or even soon, and this economic scenario is not likely how.

We cannot be the worlds leading superpower and largest economy forever and it's unreasonable to expect to. We got a great big huge jump on the world with WWII and we've had a great run since then, but it has to end someday.

I didn't make thru the whole video, how long is that darn thing?? He is scaring people into buying his snake oil. His comparison of the economic collapse of Yugoslavia to the situation in the U.S. was compelling, until you think about it for awhile. Lots more differences than similarities in the fomer Yugoslavia and the U.S.

Even though I don't sign on to this guy's "program", the national debt is a huge problem/risk and it really could be our undoing. But my glass is perpetually half full and I like to believe that we can still pull back from the brink.

I have been using the WWW Internet since it came on line in 1993.

Seen a lot of stuff, but have NEVER been as annoyed, as I was viewing the first 8 minutes of this video, in which I had to bail. I don't really care what else is on it. I totally understand why the author did not include a fast-forward button.

Whose not ready for a 100% income tax? 8 valuable minutes of my life, I'll never get back.

Can't we all just think for ourselves?

It would not end if we would become a self-reliant self-sufficient nation who stays home guarding our own borders while minding our own business not being entangled in the rest of the world and its economy.

Isolationist is not a bad word !
