Strange "memorial" service.

What's with the cheering?
They even whistled when Obama walked in
Seems kinda disrespectful to the victims.

There's a BIGGER agenda at hand.......

However, I did have a 'problem' when he mentioned that he was also an American.......
my next outburst was something like "PROVE IT!"

It's always about "O".
Matt
How many paid sitters were there that bumped out people that were there for sincere purposes? No links or anything, a hunch, but it wouldn't be a surprise.
Prayers to all involved.

Of course it's all about Obama. I hope they have other services. Yes, weird. It even makes me wish I could hear what Bush would have said.

Fox just compared what former President Ronald Reagan said, What Bill Clinton said at a service like this, and even what president Bush did when he did his during 9/11 memorial.
And it may surprise you that even Fox said they were very much alike, with Obama's being longer, but they were all pretty much the same.~!
So there you have it, even from Fox News~!

Sorry Mr Knight, I think what I think. I really don't care what FOX has to commentate upon it--seriously, what else are they going to say right now? The man has no class.

I guess this is a "national" memorial service. What Obama had to say should have been in a State of the Union kind of special address.

I'm sorry, the guy just hacks me off, that's my own personal flaw. I'm trying to be "nice".

is just a figure of speech. There you have it from Fox News, I don not know what CCN is doing comparing the speeches. But I am sure that maybe even as early as tomorrow, maybe yet tonight somebody will have speeches readied for the net.

All I have is a feeling that what I saw was a sham and a shame to the wounded and fallen to the victems. It was a political rally and nothing more. Couldn't give a hoot if it was fox, cnn, or whoever...absolutely insulting, despite how great the "speech" was. Apparently, the "speech" was more important than the memorial. Isn't that what it was supposed to be? A memorial?

Flashback: Major Leftist Operative Says Obama Needs “Similar Event” To Oklahoma City To Obtain More Power

Quote:
“One veteran Democratic operative, who blames overheated rhetoric for the shooting, said President Barack Obama should carefully but forcefully do what his predecessor did.

“They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. [despite the absolute absence of any evidence] They continued: “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”

Typical Obama speech. Very well written and very well delivered. National memorials are intended to express the National sorrow of the event and encourage all citizens to pull together, time will tell if it succeeded. Was the crowd a little out of hand? Sure but I don't hold the speaker responsible for the actions of the crowd.

Well I hope some learn now that jumping to conclusions as to what may have cause this kid to do what he did, was not caused by anything political. We will now see if that will stick.

Whistling? That's strange. I think he should have kept his mouth shut at the Memorial. He then could have had something to say afterwards outside on the steps or something.

I've only seen clips but three things struck me. Please note I've became a lot more critical and cynical of politicians in the past 20 years.

1) It seemed to me he implied that the reason the congress critter did something (spoke?) was because he was in the room.

2) He refereed to the US as a democracy which it isn't. A President should know better and not say such things.

3) He said he wanted to make America the way our children want it, or some such. As I told my wife, that is the dem view in a nut shell. They want to treat all Americans like children who don't know any better and because the children want ice cream for breakfast the dems will serve it to keep the children happy and quite while the adults take care of important things.

This is my take on it as well. I found the cheering a little odd. The following article suggests this might be as a result of having given the speech at a college, and that the crowd was young and not as prone to somber decorum.

most likely reared in a loose and liberal atmosphere and that their parents didn't teach them what
is (or is not) appropriate? Cheering at a memorial service is pretty close to the actions of holding
a pep rally at a funeral......both just totally wrong. But why am I not surprised.

When this "messiah" comes into the room.....miracles happen???

2) He referred to the US as a democracy which it isn't. A President should know better and not say such things.

Clarification note: the U.S. WAS a democracy in days gone by......those days are long gone by.
I believe he knows exactly what he was saying......step 1 is done.....on to the next step in bringing this
country down, to socially 'accepted' fascism. It's coming to a town, state and country near you.

Dead on......let them eat cake with that ice cream too......after all, someone ELSE will be paying for it.
