Oprah Not a Lesbian?

Ok I don't watch her or Barbra Walters but what was the deal about all the crying when she was asked about being a Lesbian? Say either you are or not and let it go.

I just watched it on Night Line, she was crying because Gail King is her best friend ever, The mother see didn`t have, the sister everyone should have, she was brought to tears because they are so close, and she loves her dearly. Nothing more than that just the best of FRIENDS. > Marc

Why should she have to say anything? It would be her business not ours.

People have been saying she's a lesbian for a long time but lately the gossip has been vicious. Because she and Gayle went on a camping trip that was filmed for the show. I mean, I know that's incriminating but....

I didn't see it, but I think it comes down to the fact that words hurt.

You don't hear of Oprah going after people or being mean like that. Like her or hate her you have to admit that she's not a mean girl. When someone lives their life that way, vicious rumors can hurt-especially if they aren't true.

Yep, Oprah came to the house one afternoon last summer. She brought me a six pack and was hugging and kissing on me. She whispered sweet nothings in my ear about new Cadillacs and such. She said "Drink your beer and I'm gonna show you I'm not a lesbian..." About that time, I snored real loud, woke myself up and fell off the stump.

It seems like a lot of turmoil and travail to undergo.. many of us saw a recap clip of the interview (that part) and thought, "Methinks the lady doth protest too much".

I can see why she wouldn't have married until now, but now that her income has peaked, nothing is standing in her way. Of course, after 25 years of man-bashing she'd almost have to be a lesbian to have any credibility.....

I don't really know why people have to dig into the private lives of other people.
Oprah, Sarah, all those women the public love to hound and gossip about.
I think people need to turn off their TV, get up off their big fat couch and go outside.

You must not know much about her. How do you think she got her start.
At the beginning her show was much like Maury Povich.

Man-bashing? Never happened. Are you assuming that because she's been successful on her own?

I fully agree. It would hurt if people even considered the possibility.

That's what I say, but will add who cares if she is or isn't. It still doesn't change the fact I don't like her or her show or her politics.

I'm not required (yet)(teasing) to watch her show or any interviews she gives and I'm not required to listen to her politics..

I could care less who she sleeps with, it makes no difference..

It's the price of fame and fortune.. They knew it before they became famous, unless they were idiots. Hollyweird and politics have been doing this since it's beginning.

The problem is too many people live for this type of gossip.. Just look at the shows that are on TV..
