Hope you spent your $10,548 wisely

Federal domestic spending increased a record 16 percent to $3.2 trillion in 2009, largely because of the huge economic stimulus package enacted to rescue the sinking economy.

The rise in spending was the largest since the Census Bureau began compiling the data in 1983. Overall, the spending total was the equivalent of $10,548 for each person living in the United States.

Oh, I forgot, your government can spend your money more wisely than you can.

I'm assuming the Cash for Clunkers deal was included in that, so I thank every American for contributing towards the purchase of my new car!

And my sister bought a house, so she thanks you for the $8000.00 check she got in the mail.

I guess wealth is being distributed. (Although many American's can't afford to give away the $10,548.00. But no fear, your children and your children's children will be responsible for "your" debt.)

If they had given all that money directly to the poeple, the economy would have gotten a BIG boost instead of getting worse

When we were leaving DC on the bus Saturday, one of the ladies mentioned that the 500,000-plus people who attended the Beck rally stimulated the economy more in 2 days than Obama has in 19 months. We bought souvenirs, rented motel rooms, rented taxis, rented metro trains, rented sight-seeing trolleys and double-decker buses, purchased meals, tipped bus boys and waiters, etc.

I had to LOL the other day. One of my SILs is a welfare queen, been sucking off the system for 20+ years. She was blathering on the other day about all the freebies she gets and I asked her where the government gets all the money to give her those freebies. I got a blank stare. I couldn't hold it in.....I cracked up laughing and walked away, shaking my head.

The correct answer was 'Obama's stash'.

Obama is selling weed out of the back door of the WH? That would explain a lot. Or did you mean "stash of MONEY?" Oh.

Well, I had a FABULOUS time with my ten grand.... went to Vegas, played the one armed bandits, saw some shows, drank some champagne, and then had a road trip to California where I sunned on the beaches and wined and dined with the stars.

Well, yes, actually Obama DOES have a stash---it's called YOUR INCOME.
