Is the economic recovery weakening?

A subtle but significant shift appears to be occurring within the Federal Reserve over the course of monetary policy amid increasing signs that the economic recovery is weakening.

James Bullard, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, warned that the Fed’s current policies were putting the American economy at risk of becoming “enmeshed in a Japanese-style deflationary outcome within the next several years.”

They are setting us up for the next round of Quantative Easing... that's why this release from Bullard...either that or they are letting us down gently that nothing they have done has worked...

There is and was no recovery . Just smoke and mirrors by the bunch in charge . Some believed them most didn't

With the Hc, and crap and spade looming people and cooperation are for the most part sitting and waiting to see what is next . Or are crating up to move out of the country .

No Gov can keep spending borrowed money and survive they will take everyone down too

Treasury and the Fed have been applying electrodes to a dead frog. It jumped.

The answer to the question is there was no recovery.

A dead frog jumping must be something like a dead cat bounce.

The fed is the group that prides itself in not answering questions, I think. Sounds like they really don't care anyway.

Exactly. The only sign of recovery is the stock market and that is due to stimulus money being pumped into it. It is a fraud that will collapse.

I guess if they tell us that our economy is in a deflationary outcome, the answer is to print more money and get a little inflation into the market. Either way, we are screwed.
