Notice to All American Demonyms
Should you desire to have a Demonym rather than a Nationality, America is the place for you.
From the US Gov Printing Office Style Manual .. chapter 17
http://www.gpoaccess.gov/stylemanual/browse.html
Not me. I left this place a long time ago.

Someone's been reading "The Golden Compass"! LOL
I'm glad to see the one for my home state has been changed to "Michiganian," which I believe is more dignified than the former "Michigander." Honk, honk.

It wasn't as bad as that. Back in 1973 you would be a Michiganite.
More like a Smurf than a goose.
A "der" ending might be the masculine of the word.

I've never heard the word "Alabamian".........ever.
Wyomingite?
I guess, I'm not sure what else you'd use................
Never thought that much about it.
I always call people from Oklahoma "Okie-Homers"

Not a problem. Direct is better than oblique.

Isn't that what you get when you cross a Michigander with an iguana?
