peopleofwalmart.com

This is a slightly amusing site with input from Wal-Mart workers and customers.

When you cater to the lowest demoninator what can you expect.

Worth while only if you have a couple of idle hours within absolutely nothing more positive to do.

I was in Wal-Mart a few days ago, and I thought they must be having a reunion for this web site.
There was some strange things afoot that day............

Oh my. This site is an eye opener. I had no idea there were so many people who don't know how to dress appropriately to go shopping. Some of those photos are just sad.

My cousin sends me these links periodically. At first it was funny, but now it's to the point where I can't stand to look at them anymore. It's just too depressing to think there are that many people who see nothing wrong with walking around in public with their buttocks showing. Nasty!!

It's the rise of the leisure class.

The other day I was filling up with gas and I noticed that the young men who were going in and out of the gas station seemed to be all in a uniform of sorts. Today's summer fashion appears to be enormously loose shorts and a tank top. I can't even imagine those pants would be suitable for sports or any other activity other than sitting on one's couch playing video games.

Our entire society is devoted to leisure and in many people's minds there is little difference between home and "not home". When you see them walk around thusly in the Shrine of Mammon then they are simply worshipping in their own way.

I hate that website.

It makes fun of the obese, mentally ill, and/or intellectually slow. You go to any other chain of stores and get the same photos, but that wouldn't be as fun because you don't get to talk about those poor folks as the 'lowest common denominator.'

It is an inappropriate website, not just for making fun at other people's expense, but also for the amount of partial nudity.

I have to confess, I am a people of walmart shopper...
I just came back from the local walmart because I needed a mop ASAP... looking at what I wore, boy am I glad there were no cameras.

I have a pair of shoes with dirt and holes, my jeans have seen better days and are a bit tattered, my t-shirt-- well... the band is on a reunion tour, and this shirt could be a valuable antique if it wasn't for the rips and stretched out parts, and ya'll love the hair covering - vintage gang colored snot cloth - its a red bandana... it works to keep the cobwebs out of your hair when cleaning the chicken coop.

about that mop... I left the hose on while cleaning the chicken coop and it has been raining heavily for a few days here and oopsy... made a puddle in front of the house where the shaggy dog found it and rolled in it then made his way into the house for a treat with DH... my old mop? well.... it was last seen washing windows on a tractor restoration project this past weekend
ahhh... the life of the rural and creative

I work at Walmart & it is always an "adventure" at work! Don't get me wrong - I like my job but we do see it all.....

My greatest story of all was when I saw a guy chasing something down the aisle. I heard him coughing really hard & the next thing I knew there he was running down the aisle chasing something that was just rolling away like a ball. He had coughed so hard his teeth flew out!

And no I DID NOT look to see if he put them back in.......................like I said we see it all.........

Every one of these people chose to go out in public dressed that way. Probably 80% of them do just for the attention. Its like when I see a woman in a skimpy outfit and she gets upset when I stare at her. If you don't want to be looked at then wear clothes that cover your entire butt and cleavage when you display yourself in public.

Take a look at the web site and then take an honest look in the mirror.

The differences may not be that great.

I would be a liar if I said "that's not funny".....because some of those made me laugh out loud.

I agree w Ernie....

And I see this every day.....and I only shop at Walmart 4 x a year.
I see this everywhere.
The Mall (the foo foo upscale outdoor malls too)
Dollar General
Target, Meijer, Lowes, Home Depot.
Heck, restaurants are full of people dressed like this.

No way, NO WAY I am walking out with my 'parts' exposed.
I may have some dirt on my shirt, when I need something "right now" at Lowes.
But my 'junk' is not hanging out.

FUNNY STORY:

Last week the baby and I went to Starbucks. I handed the little girl my money (drive thru) and when she turned around to make my drink TWO FULL INCHES of her hiney crack was exposed. Her boss walked up to her, spoke to her about something, the little girl turned and walked away......and the boss said nothing.
TWO FULL INCHES of hiney crack.....
A) How do you NOT KNOW? She was 5'4", maybe 120lbs. NOT a huge person.
B) THIS IS A BOARD OF HEALTH violation.
C) How do you tell someone, their hiney crack is showing???

When we pullled away.....my daughter said "I think I am going to puke, her butt was hanging out".

AMEN
This is a great "hey, check yourself before you walk out the door" site.
Often I say "WOW they did that on purpose? They looked in a mirror and said "this looks good, I'll wear it".

Being 5'7" and 125lbs helps avoid all the 'flesh' spilling out too!!!

We shop at Wal-Mart often and I tease Roger to check if we've made the grade to be peopleofwalmart celebrities!

Check this one out about why women stay single:

http://www.timeidol.com/women-stay-single/

(Now, I'm not positive if it is family friendly as I didn't look at it all SO if it is questionable DELETE IT PLEASE, Mods!!!!)

Pretty sure most of these men, are not looking for women! NOT family friendly!!
