The Ultimate Sacrifice

Remembering, with humble gratitude, those Americans who gave their lives in defense of our country & for the cause of freedom around the world.

I agree. Here's a link to one of the best cartoons I've seen in a while.

I thanked my husband for his 28 years of service.

I don't think he's recovered yet.

I'm a bit of a nit picker but today isn't the day you thank a vet, that's in November. Today is the day we remember and honor those who died while serving. If you know someone who has seen combat don't thank him, you would not thank someone who has lost a family member, tell him how sorry you are that some of his family didn't make it home.

To those who I wish could read this thank you and some of us will always remember you and why you did it. . . .de oppresso liber

I know what you're saying, watcher, but I think we should take every opportunity to thank our vets and remember those who have given their lives. God bless them all! WE WILL NOT FORGET YOU!!!

Correct. That's why it is the ultimate sacrifice and why flags are lowered to half-mast. We have over 200 years worth of dead, buried around the world, to remember and honor today.
