Yuppers - we'll take the spent enriched uranium for safe storage.

And just where are we going to store the spent nuclear waste?

Anyone know???

Storage has been a bone of contention ever since we started building nuclear energy plants and one reason we stopped. It's become a NIMBY (not in my back yard) & there's not too many places we can store it.

Every day brings another hit. I'm reeling

Well, they send all of their garbage here to Michigan anyway. Who are the idiots we have in charge that has made America the legal dumping ground? Maybe you should all start asking your representatives...now is a good time...

Wouldn't be any waste if we would start reprocessing.

Seems they want us to recycle everything except uranium.

Yuppers, Bear.. Thanks for the article. NIMBY unless it comes with a billion dollar bribe.

But, then, "O" knows all about bribes.

Sick - just sick.

Kinda sorta. You're gettign Chalk River's waste from producing isotopes for 1/3 of the worlds medical radioactive material. Might be a beaker, might be a supertanker full. Not sure. Chalk River ain't a big reactor though.

More a good will gesture and to set an example. Your Govt. wants more countries to follow suit so our PM stepped up and offered to go first. I do think the associated costs should be shared though.
