LOL at least they are weeding themselves out for ya.

My main pic is my fav, but I have up fishing and hunting and bunny cuddling ones too. Only had one person contact me and after 6 weeks of acting serious he sent me a rejection letter this morning. Happy new year.

hey you guys, if you dont get 'hits' from these websites, or you get rejection letters, it isn't about YOU...

It is about the folks who dont stop to get to know you.
I remember how humiliating, puzzling, and over/underwhelming it was on those sites....
It isn't about 'ugly pic' or rejection, both of you.
Remember, it is because the right one hasn't stopped to say hi.
Or, in the future, you'll be finding one in 'real time' not on computer...
It will happen. Hard not to struggle, worry over it, I know.
It's not about you.
That's how you must think.

LOL, that made me laugh fordson

Nehi, here is what you have to remember about the other side of the group on those sites. They are just as fragile (many of them) as we are. They usually carry a bit of bluster with them that we often don't.

During my very brief stint on one, I went out with a guy. It was obvious we were in no way compatible as partners, but we have remained friends. I have watched him go through SO many dates, and I always get a call about the newest 'failure'. I have learned more about how some men approach dating watching this guy for a year, than I ever could have dreamed. He truly wants a partner, but I don't think I have ever seen anyone make more of a mess of things each time. He gets hurt and dumped a lot.

So it isn't just the women who have it tough, sometimes it is the men also. Most are really out of practice and it is a learning curve. It's just not something I'm ready to do in that manner, at this time.

Keep yer chin up, like Sherry says. It takes a lot of time to find someone and build that special something. Because you want it to be special, and to fit right.

I put up a profile on one of the sites- didn't use a 'glam" shot, but a decent one. Got lots of hits, but no potentials. Too many of them were of the "what color panties do you have on today?" variety....

Then I turned the tables. Sent a note to a gentleman that his Haflinger he was driving in one of his pics was lovely, and that I drive carriages also. Didn't expect anything other than a "thanks" as he is hundreds of miles away in another state, BUT...

we spend hours on the phone daily since then! Something is brewing....

I went out with my girlfriends last night, one of which surprise visited me and I haven't seen her since high school I believe. We will not be doing the math on that one but we did go out and it was just like old times. Her cousin came with us and since I also have done daycare for her cousin in the past it was the girls night out. Well, Cousin was telling me she joined a dating site and had talked with several people. Gave tips on what to write on a profile and such and such. Her match.com date would also be joining us this evening. He shows up, is very attractive then proceeds to hit up on everyone at the table. Bought us all drinks then danced with us all. Very much a playah. So it just reminded me how there is no way I will ever be joining a dating site ever again. Some times I am tempted to date, just to have another person to do something with but then reality hits and I go back into my own little quiet corner.

Here are us girls and yes I am the one with the glasses. Surprise, I now have to wear them all the dang time. UGgg.

And cindilu, there are four lovely ladies in the photo;
two of which are wearing specticles! Are you the one
in blue or with the scarf around her neck?

Never mind . . . I figured it out all by myself.
