OUCH! Rain makes my HEAD hurt!

Mother nature does hate me some years! It won't stop raining!

Last year it was so hot and dry I had to stay in most of the summer: this year it is much cooler but it won't stop raining and I HURT!!!!!!!! The pills will not help for at least another 20 minutes! My head is POUNDING!

OW.

How does Mother Nature hate you folks THIS year? Last year we had a drought and the heat blasted the 'maters and string beans, this year the snows lasted for a month too long and the rain will NOT stop! The back part of the lawn has not been mowed in a month, and now it clogs the mower when I try during the few dry spells. I am worried that a neighbor will report us because they have all managed to mow their lawns clear to the back fence! I can no longer mow it all in one day, and so I could not finish it last week when the rain stopped for a bit.

On the GOOD side, I haven't had to water!

Mother Nature has an ugly sense of humor.

I live in Oregon, it rains. It does bother when the storms come and the barometer drops fast. Otherwise I like the rain, makes everything nice and green. It will be warm soon enough. All is good....James

Scientists say that it is an old wive's tale that a person hurts when a front moves in but I do not believe them! I am very glad that I do not live in rainy Oregon!

Scientists don't know what they are talking about, I can sure feel it when a front is coming and here. I hurt all over, verses the joints during regular weather. Have managed to keep on top of things this spring though.

Yeah, the older I get the more I feel the fronts!

The rain stopped for a little bit, and so my youngest and I have been outside getting a few things done. He is making things more tidy while I took care of the chickens and picked a few greens for todays eating. Greens LOVE this weather, though the poor marigolds are looking miserable!!!!!!!!

There is standing water on the lawn, and when I came back in the weather radio came on with flash flood warnings. If the rain just stops for ONE MORE HOUR I think we will be in much better shape then we are now!

Those 'scientists' are wrong. It's totally natural to 'feel' the pressure drop when a storm is coming and many people feel it too strongly and it leads to migraines.
I sometimes feel the rain coming, but my DH gets bad migraines a few days before they show up, its terrible.

Weather people also suck at what they do. It's crazy how often and how wrong they can be! I can look outside and know it will be heavy rain with fair winds, but nooo! The weather people post it will be severe tstorms, 40-50 mph winds! Hah! That happened earlier this week....

Having to water carrots when the soil is soggy is cruel, but you are right: if the tiny sprouts dry out they will dry! Having water an inch down does nothing if the roots are too small to reach it!
