Five days of rain and two more to go.

2 years of no rain, and some say, three more to go.

Trade ya?

We had rain that changed to freezing rain and ice. I still cherish every drop. We need this for the water table. I'm counting rain as a Blessing.

Forecast in our area is for another drought year.

Count your blessings too, Shrek. Otherwise, GA will be at Weiss Lake with bayonets.

Hey, hey, hey! I would not let my cows drink from that cess pool. The goats maybe, but not the cows. Pretty lake, but way too much chemical runoff going into it. Besides, I think Georgia is targeting the Tennessee River. Personally, I'm digging my water hole deeper the first chance I get...and praying for more rain!

Well the rain finally stopped but now the flood water is icing and I have two inches of snow in my yard

I want to go to and leave a wake up call for March but I know before the day is over someone will call to wake me up again.

So far five people have knocked on my door either to check on me or ask if I could venture out to help them get unstuck from my yard where they lost it in the lower curve(which I find to be an odd request since they see the ramps off my porch and me on a crutch).

The deputy who knocked on my door is a close friend and has a key to my gate and front door and I think really just checked on me to use my bathroom but the other four walked through my fence that the first car took down.

At least I been getting my mechanic some business as I call the ones who slide onto my property a wrecker.

After the third snatch out he told me that next week he will bring his wrecker to drive me in new T posts and use the winch to stretch the fabric for me

Must be in a bad curve Shrek. If a stranger knocks on my door, it is usually a Jehovah's witness. I ventured out at lunch for a quick bite, and my car thermometer indicated 45 when I left. It was 41 when I got back 40 minutes later. TV says the snow/ice will start in a few hours.

My fenced road frontage is 310 feet of snake curve road. From the south I get them into my lower terrace. Thankfully coming from the north they slide into the pasture across the road.

RW,

It will be interesting to see if GA can get the state border moved. Of course, with all of those people in "Hot-lanta," I'm not sure the TN River would be enough.

That is what it will all come down to.....fighting over shrinking resources.

Is that the Mad Max sound track I'm hearing?

Shrek,

We got the heavy rain, freezing rain Friday and Saturday. Isn't it grand? I had a hard time getting into the vehicles that were sitting outside. Everything was coated with ice. It sure made farm chores interesting. But, you and I both survived, and now there's more water.
