Sweet Outtake

This isn't aimed at anybody, so I removed it from the "sweet man" thread. And it is just an observation of mine.

People (not just men) would like to pair up way above their level. If a man is a 3, he hopes for a 10. I think the "sweet" comment is often made about a man who would be fine for someone else, but he is hoping out of his depth so he doesn't have any appeal.

I used to hear it from the girls in school. They would hope to marry a doctor so they could be wealthy. I'd ask then what they were doing to make themselves attractive to a doctor and all I would get would be blank looks in return. Well, a doctor isn't going to marry an uneducated overweight slob whose life's ambition is to lay on the couch and order off the shopping network.

Neither will that 20 year old fashion model with the great body want a 60 year old man who works part time in a gas station and hasn't had his teeth cleaned for the past 15 years.

People who are hoping to become a couple will have better success if they hunt at their level: similar education level, similar age, similar weight, similar level of beauty, probably similar economic level.

The doorman who brings flowers to the heiress might be an awfully sweet guy, but he isn't going to get very far with his courting. That is probably exactly what she will tell him. "You are sweet, but....."

I agree with you as far as women are concerned, BUT I disagree with you as far as MOST men are concerned.
I have seen at the dance I go to/used to go to/go to maybe once every other month, that fair looking boys would come in with a huge girl. Sometimes she would be with 2 or 3 guys. AND this is way more than one gal like that. Ive always known that guys generally reach far lower than they might as it is easier, not so complicated, or so they think, and that they wont have any or much competition. Guys know they cant make themselves sexy in various ways like women can, and they know that what they lead with, is generally all they have as far as looks clothes. Girls.women can try different LOOKS, that are like a fisherman trying different lures, to see what may work for them. Some LOOKS work for some women where they wouldnt do a thing for another. Its all in the look, the determination, the chrisma of the woman that makes a look work or not.

Guys generally know they have none of that, and usually are glad if/when a gal is looking at them. There not sure what it is that they did that attracted them, and so they dont know how to tweak it for fear of ruining it, so they just ride in on what they get oicked up on.
FOR THE MOST PART
