Tattoos...
So last night I was at the store and noticed the cashier was really cute. Tall, built well, big ol'... Anyway, I then noticed the tattoos. Why would a woman feel the need to decorate her cleavage and breasts? I mean, boobs are pretty much perfect as made and adding ink to them is only taking away from the effect... most of the time.
So what's up with that? Why ruin a perfectly good pair of boobs with ink?

No clue, my boobs are tat free. No ink anywhere else either, but most everyone I know has ink somewhere on their bodies. My x had ink on his arm and I have to say, that is what attracted me first. One arm had a native american salmon on it, yep, made my knees weak.

My bestie from high school got a happy, smiling one inch tall Tweety Bird on her right boob when she was in the Army. I think she was about 19 years old.
Flash forward 25 years and three kids and Tweety now is 3 inches long and looks scared!

My ex always wanted me to get a scene of a fishing cabin on a lake tatooed on my back.
He said it would give him something to look at...jerk!

A hunting cabin? A target, a runway, a deer, even a battleship he could trade fire with I understand... But a hunting cabin?

I've seen a few tats that were well done and attractive. Most of them aren't, IMHO. Any tat on a woman that shows in, say, evening wear, is offensive to me. Takes away the beauty of the woman, and draws attention away from the rest of the package.
I also don't see the need for tats on men that show when wearing long pants and dress shirt. Again, draws negative attention in too many cases.
DD has small one on her ankle, flowers, not really noticeable. DS has I don't know how many, but in pants and long sleeve shirt none show. One on his left forearm is there to cover a scar, and it is a nice looking one.
As to how I view ladies, well, tats aren't acceptable to me.

I always had the theory that folks could do what they want with their body so long as I don't end up paying the medical bill or their unemployment check. Tattoos are generally harmless unless you are dumb enough to get one on your face. Generally, I just look to see if the work is done well, it would suck to stuck with crappy work for the rest of your life.
There is actually a more horrible thing becoming popular called scarification, where they peel off the skin to make a pattern, Google it if you like, but be warned some of it is nasty. More masochism than body art in my mind.
Now the folks with all the piercings, split tongues, big old ear things and implants under the skin on their head...well they will just be entertainment for the other folks in the old folks home.

Amen! So glad to see so many others agree! While in the hospital I had a nurse with tatts all over her neck and all I could think was .. really? you chose to do that to yourself?
The ones that really bother me are the people coming through our non-profit office looking for help with food and utilities but somehow had the money for dozens of tattoos!
Oh, and I don't think Jay said you have to go to bars.. just have real life interactions, like watching a movie or playing board games with your kids, piddling in your garden, heck, even sitting on the patio and watching the stars beats hours in front of a glowing screen.

Now I don't mind tattoos or anything. I don't care what people do to their bodies as it's none of my business. I'm just not sure I understand tattoos on boobs. Seems like there really isn't much of a way to make them better or anything, so why do it?

My two eldest DDs have little dainty tattoos on their feet where the skin will never sag. Eh, their choice, not mine, but a good choice of location and size.
One of DD's friends, 22 years old with a beautiful face is going for the circus sideshow look of the Illustrated Woman. No cute little dainties. HUGE octopus on her upper arm, huge bouquet of red roses on forearm, huge tats everywhere the skin shows and where it doesn't, from what I'm told, and from where I saw them crawling under her clothes. I did not ask to see more than what was showing. What amazes me about this chick, she's the most judgemental person I ever met while demanding no one judges her. She was valedictorian of her graduating class.
Youngest DD calls her future Tat Granny. She calls all the old women with messy saggy tattoos Tat Grannies.

Just postulating, but she could have some sort of skin condition or scarring she is covering, I know a few folks in the military who covered light scarring with tattoos.
Ultimately, its just another patch of skin, with the modern ink and techniques the work probably won't fade badly so it will just be awkward for Granny to explain her tiger stripe boobies to the Grand-kids.

Ink is one of those things in society that either people like or not but to me it is a beautiful expression of self. I have several pieces and plan on getting more. The majority of my ink is black work which causes most to think it is prison ink. Guess that leads to the perception I am the bad egg lol. People may judge on all levels of there own preference. I have been denied jobs because of the perception only to be called later for an additional interview one they read my resume. As far as women getting ink on their breasts I have seen some beautiful pieces and I have seen some really bad work. I guess for me it works either way. If they are happy in their own bodies and happy with their own ink more power to them!

i dont care what people do as long as it dont effect me..if their happy then i am happy.
some tats look hot..some not...sometimes people just fit with certain things..that Danielle on american pickers has tons of tats but i think she is vry hot do to her outstanding personality ...its part of her persona and it fits her.
i dont care of a person has tats and bull rings in their nose if they do good work...well then they ok with me.just dont expect me to pierce or tat anything.
p.s. best thing about a tat is the ink wont come off on ya tongue when ya lickem....lol

New tattoos are easy to spot, and decent shoes are donated to the shelters all the time.. not the same thing at all.

Not a fan of bob tatoos. Or sleves etc. They are fine in tasteful way. The ex actually wrking on sleeve now after we were dun. Idk what she's thinking n don't care as long as it dosnt affect my daughter. It's been a big fall from being miss teen new York. Aside from all that her ideas of what she wanted an what she got are two different. Example she had one rennet her mother tibetn book of dead what not. She got jappanese shrine. I havnt told her. The bad tat artist have messed up enough IMO. But yea she's cool. I do think there should be more regulation on tats just in artistic sense. Like u should pass art tests etc... Other wise stick to writing wrong Chinese characters an drawing someone's name on therebody. I see lots of tats that wrong. But my FACS are like anarcy sign n peace sign. Tribal Celtic old English with the tupac thug tat. Really! Idk I guess I'm just particular on what's on for life n yup I gotten a couple. The conflicting philosophy kill me though. It's though to have serious conversation with somebody that was raised catholic but a Hindi buddist Shinto Taoist vegan non leather wearing but eat seafood cause fish don't feel pain

Almost every piece I have has to do with native american beliefs and culture. At least very nature based. Dream catcher large bald eagle longhorn skull several suns and moons so guess I have to say no to the fish ----.

I have three pieces, one of which is rather large and can be covered up with long pants. I don't feel the need to explain or justify why I got them. And no, none of them are on my boobs, which are perfectly awesome without any ink added, tyvm We are all gonna end up saggy and wrinkly in the end, just some of us will be more interesting to the nursing home staff than others
