Unwanted noise

Ever since we moved to this house I have a had a problem with my sub woofer picking up what I think is a radio broadcast. It doesn't come through the little satellite desk speakers, just the sub woofer. And it doesn't matter if the volume on the speakers is all the way down, it still comes through as long as they are turned on. It isn't loud, just loud enough to be heard like somebody playing it in another room. Is there anything I can do to stop this or am I just stuck with the annoyance?

Chances are the leads to the subwoofer are acting as an antenna. Running them in co-ax, grounding the outer case, reversing the power plug, or shielding the sub-woofer might help. There is a whole lot of other stuff that can be done, but those are the simple things.
