Koss earbud headphones cord issue

Got my wife some Koss earbud headphones, model KEB24b.

The Y shaped cord is terribly off-set. One side frome the ear to the bottom of the Y is maybe 6 inches. The other side from the earbud to the bottom of the Y is a couple feet. This seems to put all the stress of the cord weight on one ear, and a lot of excess corn on the other side of no value.

On most headsets I see a thin wire from the ear unit to the bottom of the Y the same length, then a thicker cord to the 3.5 plug. A perfect Y shape if you stretch them out. Not on these, the bottom of the Y is very lopsided to one side.

Seems very odd. They come in a bubble pack, so can't look at others, and the Koss site does not picture the full cord nor mention this.

Is this some sort of offset 'feature' or is it a manufaturing flaw????

The long end is designed to go around the back of the neck. They are actually much more comfortable that way.

Been wearing earbuds as live monitors for shows for years.

Put the bud in your ears from behind and wear the reciever on the short side of your belt, waist band.

Thanks. I'm a computer nerd, but iPods & that sort of stuff is all new to me, and they don't bother with much of a manual - well, none actually.
