I don't know if Vista has a better way, but I just do it the quick & dirty way -- either a table in a word processor, or a spreadsheet, with the cells set to the size of your labels.

Which word processor are you using?

If you don't already have an advanced featured word processor I suggest you get OpenOffice. It's free to download and rivals the features offered by Microsoft Office. It also works fine with Vista. Get it here:

After you install OpenOffice, download & install the label template pack.

Then you no doubt used Microsoft Word, although you didn't mention which version.

To print labels using Word 2003, click the Tools drop-down menu, select "Letters and Mailings", then click "Envelopes and Labels". Select the Labels tab.

To setup your particular label format, click the Options button and select your particular Avery label number from the list and click OK. If you are using generic labels the package will usually give you a compatible Avery number.

Printing labels with Word 2003 is self-explanatory after doing that.
