It does have a valve stem just before the pressure switch. I noticed it was making noise so I did exactly that, pulled a valve stem cap off a trailer that was close by and stuck it on there.

Thanks for the responses. It looks like I'll be changing the tank this weekend!

Bring the water from the well outlet to one side of the Tee. From the other side of the Tee plumb the water going to the house. I always like to install a ball valve on both the inlet and the outlet of the Tee. I suggested using 2 ball valves to enable the continued use of the water in the new bladder tank should there be a need to service anything from the ball valve on the inlet side of the tee back to the pump. The ball valve will also avoid the need to drain the tank when servicing the same area. The pressure relief valve is already in place (see pic above) and should provide over pressure protection as located. If this was my well I would also install a union on the pump side of the ball valve to facilitate future service needs. The ball valve on the outlet side of the tee would be for isolating the house from the well should there be a need to shut the water off to the home.

It sounds to me like the bladder in the tank is ruptured. If your tank has not bladder then the air that acts as the bladder is gone.
