FWIW, GM still can locate old parts if they're in a dealer inventory in the US. Turns out five hoses for my pickup which has the old style body are still in inventory someplace in the US.

I've been thinking about this post and that was my next question, do you have the old style or new style body. In 88 you could have a C/K which is the new body or R/V which is the old body. I looked up for a C/K style but haven't had a chance to look for the R/V number. If there's confusion at a NAPA store try looking under Blazer or Suburban, they were all old style body in that year.
