Just buy a good big snow blower and set the skids about 10" off the ground and get that snow to a manageable level.

When I lived in Evart we used a 6' Bur Vac on a 5000 Ford to keep the trail into the woods clear so we could feed deer and do our logging.

HD16, HD21 and HD41 (which was the world's largest crawler tractor at the time)

The HD41 used a 12 cylinder Cummins. That was the only engine made by an outsider after Budda came online IIRC.

Allis Chalmers also made track loaders. 5G (IIRC), 6G, 7G and 12G.

Beware of a "military surplus" AC tractor. The hydraulics (at least) were to military specifications and are not the same.

Allis Chalmers Construction Division used the "71" series Detroit Diesels in almost all applications IIRC. "53" series may have been used in some lighter duty.

Allis Chalmers Construction Division couldn't get along with GM. They bought "Budda" diesel engine, changed the name to Allis Chalmers and made their own. IIRC, the engine manufacturing was done in Batvia, IL.

The Agricultural Division stayed with GM engines.

Fiat (Italy) bought Allis Chalmers Construction Division around 1974 and renamed it Fiat-Allis.

FWIW, Allis Chalmers was the largest crawler tractor brand prior to WW-II. Caterpillar is what the military used and what the guys wanted when the was war over. Allis Chalmers manufactured other government mandated vehicles during the war years IIRC.
