Welcome from smack dab in the middle of Cape Breton Island - originally from SW Ontario though.
We got in rabbits last year and are still trying to work the bugs out - some fun though!

Hi I am from Penetanguishene on beautiful Southern Georgian Bay about an hour north of Barrie. We raise show quality rabbits and years ago raised meat animals on our mixed farm.

I guess I get to stand up and represent the rabbit owners of the West! Hello over there! There must be more of us over here?
I have standard Rex that I raise for meat.

Northern BC....We have one lop something buck, and two 8ish lb does. And I think there are some bunns in there but I dont want to frighten mum...(she was bred by accident and I feel she was too young)...anyways we feed timothy hay grown here on the farm and greens (weeds out of the garden) and with what I have learned tonight I might just go pull some cattails out of the duggout tomorrow and get them drying for winter fodder, too!

Welcome to the forum, Hopin2havfun!

Timothy hay and weeds are excellent foods for rabbits, but is that their complete diet? I'm thinking it is likely too low in protein and possibly in calories as well, particularly for your working does. Can you perhaps add some alfalfa hay and a bit of oats and barley, a sprinkle of black oil sunflower seeds etc.? There is tons of info on natural feeding in the sticky threads at the top of the page to give you ideas.
